It’s all about first impressions. The best approach is to recognize and accept that “less is more” and the house should be “white-glove test” clean.

It turns out that people lose their empathy once they assume a position of power. (Who’d thought?!) This isn’t just based on hunch, or some social/psychological research findings. Due to extraordinary rainfall pounding the local area, the Biological Research Laboratory, adjacent to the Los Alamos Cooperative Market at 95 Entrada Dr., had a dramatic retaining wall failure this morning. There were no injuries reported and normal operations are underway inside the Lab.

Yet another local service deserves our accolades.

One of the blinds in my livingroom recently broke. I was informed by Cheryl Sowder at The Finishing Touch that the Hunter Douglas blinds, which I have enjoyed in recent years had been discontinued. The broken blind could neither be fixed nor be replaced by a window covering, which would match the other blinds throughout the room.
