Canceled: APP Board Meeting Due To Lack Of Quorum

COUNTY News:

The Art in Public Places Advisory Board (APP) meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 25 is canceled due to lack of quorum.

The next meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23 in Suite 110 at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave. The meeting is open to the public.

In observance of our 250th Independence Day, Los Alamos County government offices will join other federal, state, and local governments and close Friday, July 3.

Local Residents To Be Recognized During 250 Flags Event

Local residents John Baillie and Dan Gandee will be recognized next week as part of the 250 Flags Honoring New Mexico Heroes event marking America’s 250th birthday. 

Baillie is being recognized for his volunteer dedication to seniors through the Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization and 30 years of service to the Lasses and Lads of Enchantment Barbershop Chorus.

UNM-Los Alamos Starts Phase Two Of Outdoor Infrastructure Improvements Project

UNM-LA News:

UNM-Los Alamos has begun the second phase of its outdoor infrastructure improvements project. Construction is currently underway in the campus courtyard, which will affect how visitors and students navigate the area during the summer.

The north parking lot is closed to accommodate construction staging.
