Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Truck Near North Road And Urban Street This Morning

LAPD News:

Today, Sunday, March 15, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., officers from the Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) and medics from the Los Alamos Fire Department were dispatched to the area of North Road and Urban Street in reference to a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Preliminary investigation indicates a truck was making a left turn from North Road onto Urban Street when it struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 68-year-old male, was treated at the scene before being transported to Los Alamos Medical Center.

LAPS Seeks Applications For Dist. 1 School Board Vacancy

LAPS News:

The Los Alamos School Board is in search of a person to fill the vacancy left on the board with the departure of current member Dr. Margie Serrato who represents School Board District 1. Member Serrato cited for her resignation effective March 26, “pressing family obligations that demand an expeditious relocation”.

The School Board will begin accepting applications from residents of District 1 through March 26, and hopes to decide on an applicant to fill the vacancy at the School Board meeting April 14, 2026. The term will run through Dec. 31, 2026.
