A 29-year-old Colorado man has been released on bond pending trial in a case in which he was arrested and charged with false reporting and harassment in connection with alleged ongoing cyber harassment of a Los Alamos woman.
Andrew Brown was picked up June 18 in Colorado Springs, Colo., on an arrest warrant from Los Alamos Magistrate Court requested June 13 by Los Alamos Police Det. Ryan Wolking.

By MAIRE O’NEILLLos Alamos resident Greg White has sent an email to Los Alamos County Councilors accusing them of violating a recent ruling by First Judicial District Judge Francis Mathew in a case filed by Sheriff Marco Lucero almost a year ago.
White, who is running for sheriff, gave permission for the Los Alamos Daily Post to disclose the contents of the email, which tells Councilors it is “absolutely amazing that you all are violating Judge Mathew’s order already”.

ALBUQUERQUE – A task force will meet Aug. 8 in Albuquerque to continue work on a strategic plan for improving criminal justice and public safety in New Mexico.

Ashley Shaw, 32, of Los Alamos waived her preliminary hearing Friday before Los Alamos Magistrate Judge Pat Casados on two counts of trafficking methamphetamine for allegedly selling .8 grams of the drug in October and .6 grams in January to confidential informants for the Los Alamos Police Department.

ALBUQUERQUE – Christopher Glotfelty, 36, of Albuquerque pleaded guilty Wednesday morning in federal court to production and possession of child pornography charges.
Glotfelty entered the guilty plea under a plea agreement that recommends that he be sentenced to a 25-year term of imprisonment followed by 15 years of supervised release. Glotfelty also will be required to register as a sex offender after he completes his prison sentence.
