Elijah Meason Arrested Again … Faces Multiple Charges For Forgery And Fraud

Elijah Meason has been arrested by Los Alamos Police Department twice since his April 21 initial arrest on forgery and fraud charges.

The two new arrests have garnered him two more forgery charges and two more fraud charges all connected to the same victim after he allegedly took checks without her knowledge and used them to make purchases at Smith’s Marketplace and Metzger’s Do It Best Hardware Store.

According to police and court records, Meason bought items from both businesses and shortly afterward returned the items for cash.

The Los Alamos Police Department has filed more charges against former local Detention Officer and Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Deputy Dustin Bingham. Bingham is now charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of children, felony and one count of child solicitation by electronic communication device. Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Office News:

Two teenage girls who allegedly vandalized Recreation Bond election signs on San Ildefonso Road earlier this month have been apprehended and referred to Los Alamos Teen Court, according to Los Alamos County Sheriff Marco Lucero.

Lucero said he was asked to investigate damage to the signs, which advocated voting against the recent bond initiative. He set up cameras around the target location and was able to get video of the two teens involved in the vandalism.

A decision by First Judicial District Judge T. Glenn Ellington May 18 to suppress evidence found on Scott Mallory’s computer has been appealed to the Court of Appeals of the State of New Mexico. Judge Ellington ruled that Mallory’s spousal privilege was violated and information on his computer and any statements made by Mallory to police were to be suppressed.

ALBUQUERQUE – In December 2016, the office of Attorney General Hector Balderas appeared before Judge Benjamin Chavez to argue to keep five-time convicted murderer Clifton Bloomfield in prison for the rest of his life.

Casper Cly, a 26-year-old Los Alamos resident and former Los Alamos National Laboratory employee was sentenced to four years in prison Tuesday by 11th Judicial District Judge Karen Townsend in Farmington.

Under a plea agreement reached in March, Cly had agreed to plead guilty to one count of child solicitation by electronic communication device, a third degree felony and one count of child solicitation (13-16), a fourth degree felony.
