FBI: Albuquerque Man Pleads Guilty To Tax Evasion

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Albert A. Childress, Special Agent in Charge, Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation, announced today that Arturo Archuleta pleaded guilty to five counts of tax evasion.

Archuleta, 50, of Albuquerque, will remain on conditions of release pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled.

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Supreme Court Monday reversed a regulatory agency’s decision to permanently ban a company from becoming a provider of discounted telecommunications services to low-income consumers in New Mexico.

In a unanimous opinion, the Court concluded that the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC) lacked the authority under the law to forever prohibit Q Link Wireless LLC from petitioning the regulatory agency in the future for designation as an eligible telecommunications carrier (ETC).
