Letter To The Editor: White Rock’s Newest Destination For Eating

My wife and I plus another couple ate at Don Villa’s Restaurant in White Rock last Thursday evening. 
 
I had the Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Plate, my wife had the Corn Beef Rubin, and the other couple feasted on the Carne Adovada Plate and the Chimichanga. 
 
All four meals were very good and the service was excellent. I am happy to say that “White Rock is the destination for eating!”

Kiwanis Hosts Free Pancake Breakfast Saturday

The Los Alamos Kiwanis Club is hosting a free Pancake Breakfast for all ages 7-11 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. The menu includes buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee.

Kiwanis members have been flipping pancakes for decades and look forward to serving community members. Any donation will be accepted and used for Kiwanis community projects such as Senior Appreciation Night and the 4th of July Fireworks.  Read More

A new sign was installed last week in front of the Los Alamos Golf Course on Diamond Drive and features the Cottonwood on the Greens restaurant. Golf membership is not required to dine at the restaurant, which is open to the public 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
