The Los Alamos School Board got its first look at budget estimates for fiscal years 2015-2019 at a Board Work Session Thursday at Los Alamos Middle School. The figures were part of the Strategic Plan Report presented by Superintendent Gene Schmidt. Projections were made for declining student enrollment of two, three and five percent. This year, enrollment declined by nine students compared to this time last year. The Board will be looking at ways to address budget shortfalls in the coming weeks.
