Northern New Mexico Teens To Teach Vacation Bible Schools

Seventeen Northern New Mexico Teens will attend training and then teach free Vacation Bible Schools in Los Alamos and the surrounding area in June and July. Courtesy photo

Seventeen Northern New Mexico teens will attend a training camp June 1-7, then teach FREE Vacation Bible Schools in Los Alamos, Española, Pojoaque, Chamisal and Taos.

All children ages 4-12 are welcome.

Los Alamos Locations:

  • June 9-13: Ashley Pond Park near the Pavilion, 2-4 p.m. Monday-Friday;

LAPD To Launch Youth Cadet Program In August 2025!

LAPD News:

The inaugural launch of the Los Alamos Police Department’s (LAPD) Youth Cadet Program is coming in August 2025! This program is for high school freshmen through senior grade levels. It will be held 5-8 p.m. once a month, August through April.

Participating young adults will learn about de-escalation, laws and application, public safety interactions, public speaking, public safety history, and career opportunities.
