Unemployment Insurance Operations Center Closed Monday

ALBUQUERQUE — All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will be closed on Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day.

New Mexico’s Unemployment Rate Was 4.2% In July 2025

New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in July, unchanged from the rate in June and down from 4.3 percent in the previous year. The national unemployment rate in July was 4.2 percent, up from 4.1 percent in June and unchanged from the rate in July 2024.

Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 26,400 jobs, or 3.0 percent, between July 2024 and July 2025. The majority of gains came from the private sector.
