Bee City Los Alamos (BCLA) celebrated on Wednesday the first anniversary of its pollinator demo garden behind the Los Alamos Cooperative Extension on Bathtub Row. The Co+op’s final delivery this season of fresh Hatch green chiles will arrive on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

MOGOLLON — After years of advocacy from local community members and WildEarth Guardians, the Forest Service has announced they will begin a phased clean up in the fall of this year of the Challenge Venture mill site, a 40-plus year-old mining facility that was shut down by the EPA in 1985. Purgatory Resort, one of Colorado’s most family-friendly and affordable ski resorts, will kick off its 60th ski season Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. Daily operations are scheduled through April 5, 2026, with weekend operations continuing as conditions allow.
