SANTA FE — New Mexico state health officials announced 3,231 new COVID-19 cases today.

Los Alamos County reported 70 new cases today, bringing the total to 1,236 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

This update includes 14 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19 and a 7-Day positivity rate of 23.2 percent.

Each year Los Alamos Family Council (LAFC) serves hundreds of individuals at its Counseling Center.

Prior to 2021, Los Alamos Family Council averaged nine new clients each month. During 2021, LAFC was able to increase services by adding additional therapists – expanding its monthly average to 17 new clients served.
