Urgent Call For Nurses At New Mexico Hospitals And Volunteer Health Providers For State Medical Reserve Corps

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) is working to strengthen the nurse workforce at hospitals statewide.

Due to the increase in hospitalizations across the state, nurses and anyone with a medical license – including recently retired health care personnel with an active license – are asked to volunteer with the Medical Reserve Corps.

Nambe Drugs To Be Recognized With Paver In American Pharmacy Association Foundation Covid-19 Heroes Garden

In the words of Barry Manilow, ‘Looks Like We Made It’, said Champions of Youth Ambitions (C’YA) upon reaching its goal of collecting $1,000 from the community to recognize Nambe Drugs.

The funds will be used to purchase a paver to be placed at the American Pharmacy Association Foundation COVID-19 Heroes Garden.

The paver will be installed in September to honor those who have made a difference during the coronavirus pandemic.

Nambe Drugs has provider more than 14,000 COVID-19 vaccines throughout the Los Alamos community. Read More

Whiteside will be talking about how LAMC prepared for the COVID-19 pandemic and how it responded to it.

New Mexico COVID-19 Update Aug. 14-16: 1,776 New Cases, Totaling 220,340 With 5 New Deaths And 198,816 Recovered

STATE News:

SANTA FE — New Mexico state health officials announced 1,776 additional COVID-19 cases between Saturday and Monday.

Los Alamos County reports 8 new cases bringing the total to 590 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

This update includes 5 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

  • 541 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 6 new cases in Catron County
  • 137 new cases in Chaves County
