Council Proclamation Marks One Year Since COVID-19 Pandemic Began And Honors Those Helping Community
County Councilor Sara Scott
Councilor Sara Scott presented a proclamation on behalf of the Los Alamos County Council observing the one year milestone since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The proclamation also declared Wednesday, March 24, 2021 as “Lights On, Los Alamos…and Howl!” in appreciation for all those who have helped the community.
Police Chief Dino Sgambellone accepted the proclamation at the meeting on behalf of Los Alamos County Emergency Manager Beverley Simpson.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 238 new COVID-19 cases.
Los Alamos County reports 1 new case today bringing the total to 496 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
Today’s update includes 7 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

SANTA FE — Defendants found to be mentally incompetent to stand trial and dangerous may be committed for treatment for additional time because of aggravating circumstances, the New Mexico Supreme Court (NMSC) ruled Wednesday.
