SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 218 new  COVID-19 cases. Los Alamos County reports no new case today so the total remains at 495 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Today’s update includes 6 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health on Wednesday announced the updated statewide COVID-19 map for the two-week period beginning today, March 24, with 13 New Mexico counties at the Turquoise Level and 10 at the Green Level, at which there are fewer restrictions on commercial and day-to-day activities amid decreased virus risk. The majority of the state’s counties are now at or approaching the least restrictive levels.

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health DOH announced today the launch of an Exposure Notification System. When activated on a Smart Phone, the app alerts individuals when they have been exposed to someone who has verified that they are infected with COVID-19.

New Mexico Announces 9-Month Increase In Food Benefits … SNAP Program Recipients Receive 15 Percent Boost

SANTA FE – New Mexicans enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will receive a 15 percent increase to their monthly food benefits for January through September 2021, announced the New Mexico Human Services Department.

In addition, all eligible households will receive the maximum monthly benefit amount retroactively by March 23, 2021 for the months of January, February and March of 2021 to bring them current for the maximum allotment.
