Los Alamos County residents receive only about two-thirds of the vaccine doses allocated to the County. County officials project that there will be zero new vaccination clinics in Los Alamos during the first half of February. The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) and New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) have announced that individuals 16 years or older with intellectual and developmental disabilities are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine.

This group is at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19, and includes individuals who utilize the DD Waiver, Mi Via Waiver, Medically Fragile Waiver, Supports Waiver, as well as any New Mexican on the waitlist for these services.

New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 349 New Cases, Total Now 177,556 With 13 New Deaths And 111,037 Patients Recovered

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced this afternoon 349 more positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County reports no new cases today so the total remains at 459 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Today’s update includes 13 more deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
