SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 488 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County remains at 36 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update includes 3 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:

  • 135 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 41 new cases in Chaves County
  • 3 new cases in Cibola County
  • 10 new cases in Curry County
  • 81 new cases in Doña Ana County
  • 28 new cases in Eddy County
  • 4 new cases in Grant County
  • 2 new cases in Hidalgo County

NMPED Provides $332K In School Nutrition Grants

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Public Education Department has awarded 53 grants to school districts across the state to expand programs that purchase food directly from local farmers, food hubs or cooperatives and distributors.

The grants, which total $332,000, align with the department’s and the Student Success and Wellness Bureau’s goal of ensuring that New Mexico children have access to high-quality, healthful school meals. Free Drive-Thru Adult Flu Shot Clinic Sullivan Field Saturday

The Los Alamos Heart Council and Los Alamos Medical Center are pleased to sponsor a Free Flu Shot Clinic 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Sullivan Field parking lot.

We will be administering the standard adult flu vaccine in a drive-through configuration that will not require you to get out of your car. Sorry, we cannot inoculate children. While this is a first come, first serve clinic, we have many hundreds of doses and ask attendees not to begin arriving before 7:30 a.m. as that will interfere with set up and conduct of the clinic.
