LAMC Invites Community To Trick-Or-Treat Friday!

Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC) is again hosting its annual Trick-or-Treat Halloween event, 3-5 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 24.

The community is invited to bring the whole family to begin their spooktacular Halloween weekend with the local community hospital.

Administrative Office Of The Courts Announces Funding Increase For Regional Behavioral Health Planning

SANTA FE – Additional funding will be available for regional behavioral health planning across New Mexico, the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) announced today.

Up to $60,000 – an increase from $45,000 – will be awarded in each of the state’s 13 behavioral health regions for the development of regional plans for providing behavioral health services. The plans are required under the Behavioral Health Reform and Investment Act, which was enacted earlier this year. The reform legislation was Senate Bill 3 during this year’s legislative session. Make-A-Wish New Mexico Kids Giving Back

For the first time in Make-A-Wish New Mexico’s 40-year history, it is working to grant two wishes to give back to the community at the same time, through the generosity of two wish kids.

When a child begins the wish-granting process, Make-A-Wish talks with them about five different areas to choose from.

  • I wish to have;

ABC Suicide Prevention Partner Class Oct. 20

The community can make a difference! The next ABC Suicide Prevention Partner class is coming up at 12 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20, at the White Rock Branch Library.

Attend and learn about local resources and how everyone can help prevent suicide. The collective community goal is to train as many partners as possible.
