Udall, Heinrich Cosponsor Bill To Allow Medicare To Negotiate A Better Deal On Prescription Drug Costs

WASHINGTON, D.C.  Yesterday, U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich joined in cosponsoring legislation led by U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) to unleash the bargaining power of seniors for a better deal on prescription drug costs.
 
The legislation would allow for Medicare to negotiate the best possible price of prescription drugs to cut costs for nearly 41 million seniors enrolled in Medicare Part D. In a joint statement today, Los Alamos Police Chief Dino Sgambellone and Fire Chief Troy Hughes encouraged the community to support the 2nd Annual Battle of the Badges blood drive.

The drive is at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Hall, 3700 Canyon Road in Los Alamos:

  • Noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3; and
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.
