Laboratory Retiree Group First Tuesday Breakfast July 5

LRG News:

Fully vaccinated Lab retirees (and potential retirees) are invited to drop in at the Los Alamos Laboratory Retiree Group (LRG) monthly breakfast, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the Morning Glory Restaurant, 1377 Diamond Dr., across from Los Alamos High School.

Morning Glory serves a full breakfast and pastries. Retirees buy their breakfast; LRG will pay for coffee or tea.

ACT Route 2M, 6 Peak Evening Service Suspended Today

Atomic City Transit Route 2M (Main Hill) and Route 6 Peak evening service is suspended through the remainder of today due to a staffing shortage.

Please plan to use Route 2T (Truck Route) and fixed Route 6, which will continue to operate its regular schedule 5:55 a.m. to 6:58 p.m.

The Lunker is a huge rainbow trout that everyone knows about and no one has caught. So far he has resisted flies, worms, salmon eggs, spinners, and even an imitation mouse that Dud tossed in there one time just to see if the Lunker had a bass’s appetite.

Road Closure For 4th Of July Sheppard Family Pig Pickin’

There will be a road closure 2-9 p.m., Monday July 4, at the bottom of Woodland Road adjacent to Club Road due to a family event and block party.

Access to Woodland can be made by traveling up Arizona and cutting through Country Lane.

Atomic City Transit Announces Detour And Bus Stop Closures For Routes 1, 2M, 3 Beginning Tuesday July 5

COUNTY News:

Atomic City Transit has been notified that a portion of Canyon Road from Rose Street to the Aquatic Center driveway will closed beginning Tuesday, July 5 through the end of construction estimated for  November 2022.

Route 1, 2M and 3 will have a detour from Central Avenue to Oppenheimer. Several bus stop closures are identified on the map above along with a temporary bus stop on Trinity Drive to assist with access.

Expect possible delays due to traffic congestion.

Atomic City Transit Closed July 4th … Free Shuttle Service Will Operate For 4th Of July Concert At Overlook Park … Bandelier Shuttle Will Continue July 2-4

Atomic City Transit regular scheduled bus service will not operate on Monday, July 4, 2022, in observance of the holiday.

Atomic City Transit will be providing free shuttle service for the Los Alamos Fourth of July concert at Overlook Park in White Rock. 

Shuttle service will begin at 3 p.m. from Sullivan Field in Los Alamos, White Rock Visitor Center, and Piñon Elementary in White Rock. A continuous shuttle service will be provided throughout the event with the last bus at 9:30 p.m. leaving Overlook Park.
