Planting a garden can yield great rewards – a homegrown tomato always trumps the ones sold in large grocery store chains – but it can lead to excessive amounts of produce.

Gardeners can very well find themselves up to their necks in tomatoes.

Atomic City Transit Rte 6, North Mesa Back In Service Oct. 5

Atomic City Transit announces the reopening of Route 6 – North Mesa beginning Monday, Oct. 5. 

Route 6 will join the bus service being provided on Routes 1, 2M and 2T that began June 15. Routes will operate with reduced service hours from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

PAC 8 Receives MainStreet Grant To Create Videos Featuring Local Farmers And How They Grow Their Produce

PAC 8 Community Media Center has received a $1,000 MainStreet grant to create three videos featuring local farmers who sell their produce at the Los Alamos Farmers Market.

“I feel it is important for the public to see how the farmers grow their produce and where it comes from,” PAC 8 Executive Director Jean Gindreau said. It’s also nice to meet and get to know the farmers you buy food from.”

Gindreau added that she hopes these videos will encourage more people to go to the market.
