Protein is an essential part of everyone’s diet. It is needed by every cell in your body and is especially necessary for those who work out to repair and rebuild muscle tissue.

It also is very important for us as we age to avoid the loss of muscle tissue causing a reduction in a person’s metabolic rate. The question of how much protein a person should take in is highly debated, however.

NCRTD Implements Financial Transparency Platform

In its commitment to clear and open government, the North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has implemented a web-based financial transparency and accountability platform on its website.
 
The NCRTD has contracted with OpenGov to create an interactive reporting tool that allows the public to explore the District’s financial data online in easy-to-use graphical formats that can be selected and customized by the user. 
 
The system provides historical financial data from 2010 to the current year that can be analyzed on a monthly or annual basis

Before And After At United Church Of Los Alamos

Remodeling construction has been completed at the United Church of Los Alamos at 2525 Canyon Road. The United Church of Los Alamos is the first church in Los Alamos and grew out of the original Army Chapel after World War 2.  United Church represents six Protestant denominations and believes in the province of private judgement in the interpretation of the scriptures. Hearing Loss And Mental Health Discussion June 20

HLA News:

Harvard Medical School-trained psychiatrist David Quinn, M.D., will discuss hearing loss and mental health at the Hearing Loss Association of America Santa Fe chapter June meeting. 

Dr. Quinn is an assistant professor and Medical Director of the Consultation Liaison Service at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. The meeting is free and open to all.  No reservations are required. It will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20 at the Vitamin Cottage Event Center, Natural Grocers, Cerrillos Road and Richards Avenue in Santa Fe.
