County’s Housing Survey Closes Nov. 8

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County’s housing survey will close in one week – on Friday, Nov. 8. 

The results will help shape housing needs and priorities and assist staff in forming housing programs and activities.

Sports Alignment Coach Jessica Kisiel is launching an Aligned Core Conditioning Class next week.
 
Class Description: Joint position is the foundation of strength. Training, if done incorrectly can contribute to poor posture and ingrain compensated movement patterns that can lead to joint deterioration, muscle imbalances and pain. In this class, participants will learn how to get straight and strong. Class will consist of body weight and dumbbell exercises for mobility, stability and strength. Correct form and controlled movement will be emphasized.

“Wine is only as good as the company you share it with, so drink great wine,” quips Mark Johnson, the Santa Fe sommelier who will be leading the wine-tasting and tapas event Saturday, Nov. 2 at Dixie Girl restaurant, 1789 Central Ave.

1 pkg of dry yeast

½ cup of warm (105 degree) water

1 1/8 cups of milk, warmed

1/3 cup of cream, warmed

1 ¼ cups pumpkin

1 stick (1/4 pound) of unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground ginger

½ teaspoon cloves

2 cups of flour

In the last column I talked about traveling light, taking one carry-on suitcase and a large purse-like bag for electronics. That sounds fine and dandy, but in reality, how do you pack everything you need for a month (or six) in two small carry-on bags?
