The Derailers from Austin, Texas play the Los Alamos County Fair Concert portion of the Los Alamos County Summer Concert tonight at Ashley Pond Park.

The show starts at 7 p.m. and is free of charge. The band plays a lot of the Bakersfield country sound. Think Dwight Yoakam and Merle Haggard. They also remind me of Roy Orbison. Great dance concert.

The final Tuesdays at the Pond show is 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Ashley Pond Park. It features Marcos Cavalcante and Band.

Tuesdays at the Pond, a summer entertainment series, has brought a variety of entertainment acts to the Ashley Pond stage in downtown Los Alamos every Tuesday evening since June 2.

A Cowboy Dinner and Dance is Saturday at the Posse Lodge after the Los Alamos County Rodeo. 
 
Dinner starts at 5 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. with the dance. The Rifters are playing for the dance.

Tuesdays at the Pond this week features the band Space-man at 7 p.m., Aug. 4 at Ashley Pond Park.

The rock band is comprised of local musicians Michaelangelo Lobato, Dave Hemsing and Kile Uhlenbrock.
