Rain Drives Co+opRocks! Inside Teen Center

CO+OP News:

Due to persistent rain, tonight’s Co+opRocks! event will be 7-10 p.m., inside the Teen Center and in the space in the Trinity on the Hill Church above the Teen Center.

Co+opRocks! is a music and art based event for teens. The evening kicks off with improv by the High School Theater Department, followed by local musicians including Sonji, Ryan Van Cleave, Matt Tapia, Nathan Lindsey, Michelangelo Lobato, Kile Uhlenbrock and Cody Ulibarri.

Recycled art projects and a historical hands-on loom are free art activities available during Co+opRocks! The art activities are provided by Fuller Read More

Jazz pianist Bert Dalton will perform at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 at Zia Realty Group’s one year anniversary celebration.

Dalton has been living and performing in Santa Fe for 20 years. He has led a number of groups such as the Chicago Jazz Exchange, Yoboso, the Bert Dalton Trio, the Dalton Brothers Trio, and most recently, the Brazil Project.

Well folks, I hope that you’ve enjoyed the 2013 Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series.

We have one last concert scheduled for this year today at 7 p.m. at Rover Park in White Rock. (Turn left at first light, Rover Blvd., and go east one mile to park.) Our show is free. Bring your blankets and/or your lawn chairs. We’ll have a concrete dance floor or you can “play” on the park’s grass.

Enjoy an exciting night of opera at Bandelier National Monument during the second annual Opera on the Rocks event at 6: 15 p.m.. Saturday, Sept. 21. Opera Alta will perform Amahl and the Night Visitors at the Juniper Campground Amphitheater.

This opera was originally created by composer Gian Menotti for NBC, making it the first opera written entirely for television. The event is an opportunity for those not familiar with opera, as well as for opera enthusiasts, to enjoy listening in a special venue.
