We had to make a change to this Friday June 28 concert. We’ll still be at Ashley Pond with a great free concert that’ll start at 7 p.m. It’s still LA Monitor Night, but our band is quite different. The Craig Martin Experience first surfaced on the Los Alamos music scene some 18 months ago and has developed into the tightest jazz band around. The Perry’s grew up a couple of blocks from the home of Elvis Presley. They’re the most successful young blues band in the World. The 2013 Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series continues at 7 p.m. Friday, June 21 with what will be a fantastic concert up at the Ski Hill staring the Tupelo, Miss., group, the Homemade Jamz’ Blues Band.

The Craig Martin Experience jazz ensemble returns to the Blue Window Bistro Saturday, June 22 with their unique blend of classic swing, hard bop and funky jazz.

“We’re going to celebrate the official arrival of summer with a selection of cool jazz on a warm evening,” band leader Craig Martin said. “Not that there won’t be some hot tunes, too.”
