Last Fall, Los Alamos JJAB approached Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) about the possibility of acquiring funding to kickstart a collaboration between JJAB’s Resource Specialist (RS) program and First Born of Los Alamos’ Home Visitor program. 

Though the two programs overlap, each has a different focus and is available for separate age ranges; the RS program serves Los Alamos youth ages 5 to 18 and focuses on case management for the youth and their family. Los Alamos National Laboratory Celebrating 80 Years Of Science, Innovation And Discovery Entire Month Of April

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) has designated the entire month of April for its 80th birthday bash.

The public is invited to take part in the celebration by attending a talk by historian Madeline Whitacre from the Lab’s National Security Research Center, where she’ll discuss the facts, photos and stories from the Lab’s origins, on April 17, 5:30 – 7 p.m. at ProjectY in Los Alamos.

Los Alamos County Seeks Assistance Contacting Families Of Those Killed In 1972 Plane Crash

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County will dedicate a memorial May 19 at the Los Alamos County Airport to commemorate the tragic crash of Ross Aviation Flight 7 that took the lives of the pilot and eight Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory employees 51 years ago.

County officials seek the public’s assistance in contacting the family members of those who perished in that crash.

Chartered by the Atomic Energy Commission to transport employees from Albuquerque to Los Alamos, the twin-engine light aircraft crashed May 19, 1972, shortly after takeoff. There were no survivors.
