Clay And Dorothy Perkins Turn Over Deed Of Hans Bethe House To Los Alamos Historical Society

Clay, center, and Dorothy Perkins turn over the deed of 1350 Bathtub Row Saturday to the Los Alamos Historical Society. Ron Wilkins, left, president of the Historical Society, accepted the deed on behalf of the organization. Always with the intention of donating it, the Perkins purchased the flood-damaged house in 2013 and put in $130,000 worth of repairs and gave $100,000 for exhibits. The Perkins, of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., were good friends with Harold Agnew, third director of Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (now Los Alamos National Laboratory). Reminder: LANL Conducting Full Scale Homeland Security Emergency Exercise Today And Sunday

LANL News:

Los Alamos National Laboratory Emergency Response personnel, Protective Force guards, federal officials, the Los Alamos Police Department and the FBI will participate in an extensive, full scale homeland security emergency exercise for two full days including today, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7.

Today from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., vehicle access to the Laboratory through the east and west Jemez Road access control points will be limited to DOE badge holders only. Vehicles can bypass the TA-3 exercise area by using West Road.

Sandia’s Sean Dunagan New Senior WIPP Recovery Manager

WIPP News:

Sean Dunagan, Research and Development Manager with Sandia National Laboratories, has been appointed as the Carlsbad Field Office (CBFO) Senior WIPP Recovery Manager, effective Dec. 8, 2014. He replaces Tom Teynor, who returned to Hanford to be the Federal Project Manager of the Plutonium Finishing Plant project.
