Spine-tingling Science Is The Treat At The 2023 High-Tech Halloween Friday Oct. 27 At Bradbury Science Museum

The Bradbury Science Museum is offering something a little different this season with hands-on STEM education fun for the whole family at High-Tech Halloween, 4-6 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 27, at the museum at 1450 Central Ave.

The Northern New Mexico community is invited, costumes are encouraged and activities are both eerie and educational. High-Tech Halloween is part of Los Alamos’s annual Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet. Both events are free.

NMED Approves 10-Year Renewal Permit For WIPP

NMED News: 

SANTA FE — On Oct. 4, the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) signed a Final Order approving a Proposed Final Permit for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) Hazardous Waste Facility 10-Year Renewal.

The Final Order comes after completion of nine months of public comment and will become effective  Nov. 3, 2023.

“The new permit will benefit New Mexico and legacy waste clean-up from around the U.S. for years to come,” NMED Cabinet Secretary James Kenney said.
