Alfred Furnish, 95, ended his earthy life August 28, 2021. He was born and raised in Dedham, MA, served in the Navy in WWII, then attended college at Northwestern University and MIT.

He moved to California and worked at Stanford Research Institute from 1954 through 1958, where he met and married his wife, Jean. In 1959, they moved to Los Alamos, where he worked at the lab until retiring, then lived until moving to Albuquerque in 2018.
