Gloria Louisa Cordova, long-time Los Alamos resident, passed away on April 18, 2016 after a 16-month struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Gloria was born in Trinidad Colo. on July 31, 1938. After high school she joined the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and graduated from their Mount St. Joseph College with a B. S. degree in chemistry. She taught math and chemistry in high schools in Denver and Trinidad, and then after leaving the community, moved to Los Alamos where she taught chemistry at the high school for 10 years.

DAVID W. CARROLL Dec. 3, 1947 – April 26, 2016

David W. Carroll, 68 of Los Alamos passed away Tuesday, April 26th, 2016 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

He was born on December 3, 1947 in Portland, Oregon and lived in the Pacific Northwest until moving with his family to Los Alamos in 1955. He graduated from the Los Alamos High School in 1965 and the University of Northern Colorado in 1969 with a degree in Industrial Arts and Meteorology.

He worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 42 years until retirement in April 2012.

Paul Kraemer passed away on March 24th, 2016 after a full and productive life.

Paul was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Huldah and E.O Kraemer on March 19, 1930. He earned a Doctorate in Public Health from Tulane University, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Wistar Institute, a biomedical Center focusing on cancer research and vaccine development.
