Carol C. Wall, 96, passed away peacefully in the presence of family and loved ones on September 26, 2013. Carol moved to Los Alamos, NM in December 2006 to be close to son Gary.

Born in Marietta, Ohio on December 6, 1916, she moved with her mother to Denver, CO in 1939 following her father’s death. It was there that she met Larry Wall.They were married on July 5, 1941. Shortly after Larry left for 4 years of service during WWII. Carol singlehandedly raised their first son, Larry, Jr. (currently of Monterey, CA) until 1945 when her husband returned from Europe. Cecil L. Gooch, formerly of Los Alamos, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013.
 
Cecil was born December 24, 1918 in Kansas to Jerry and Lillian M. Gooch. He served in the U.S. Army, Company M, 148 Infantry, and was very proud to have done so. After his honorable discharge, Cecil moved to Los Alamos in 1947 to work for the Zia Corporation as a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He retired from the Laboratory in 1979 and remained in Los Alamos until he relocated in Albuquerque where he lived until his death.

Annie R. Segura, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at her granddaughter’s home in Colorado Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Bernie Segura, parents; Isifredo and Eloisa Romero, brothers, Cruz, Ben, and Gilbert, sisters, Ramona, Josefa, Lucy, Bernadette (Nalda) and Helen. Annie was born in Durango Colorado, and grew up in Santa Cruz NM.

Charles E. Morris, 72, formerly of Los Alamos, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in Scottsdale, Arizona.  
 
He was born in Detroit, Michigan and received his doctorate from Iowa State University. From 1968 – 1994, he was a research physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory (M-6), and was active in skiing and golf.  
 
After retirement, he pursued an interest in woodworking, designing and building cabinetry and furniture for his home. Chuck is survived by his wife, Ellen. No services will be held.

Harold M. Agnew, died Sept. 29 2013 at his home in Solana Beach, Calif.

Agnew was present at Fermi’s first neutron chain reaction Dec. 2, 1942, director of the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory for 10 years and for 10 years president of General Atomics.

He had been afflicted with chronic lymphocytic leukemia since spring.

Agnew was born in Denver, Colo. After receiving his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Denver in 1942, he joined Enrico Fermi’s research group at the University of Chicago.

Edgar Davis Bush Jr., 81, of Los Alamos, N.M. died on September 22, 2013. “Ed” was born on January 1, 1932 in Morenci, Ariz. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, son Mike and wife Donna of Chandler, Ariz., his grandson Matthew and wife Maureen and his great grandson Declan of Renton, Wash. He was preceded in death by his grandson Danny.

He was taken from us after a 9 month battle with cancer. Ed’s full life ended peacefully with his wife and son by his side.

Myron L. Stein, 85, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was born in Sacramento, Calif., where he grew up, attending University of California at Berkley, receiving a degree with honors in Astronomy.

Bonnie was born July 20, 1954 in Bloomington, Indiana, the third daughter of four children of William and Barbara (Hamilton) Murchie. Bonnie graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1972 and went on to receive a BA in chemistry in 1976 with Phi Beta Kappa and an MS in geophysics in 1979 from Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana. Marilyn Quadracci Fabry, 60, a resident of Los Alamos, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2013 following a battle with cancer. She was born on June 13, 1953 to Art and Laura Quadracci in McAlester, Okla. She was an only child – God bless them.

She grew up in McAlester, OK and attended Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She taught in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico; the longest in New Mexico at Los Alamos High School for close to 20 years.
