Joyce A. Eyster of Los Alamos, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in her apartment at Aspen Ridge Lodge on November 30, 2022.

Joyce was 101 years old, born March 13, 1921, to Robert and Esther Krenz in their farm house in rural Minnesota near the small towns of Tintah and Wheaton. She grew up on the farm with her parents and brother, James Krenz, surrounded by a large extended family. She learned to value hard work, optimistic faith in God, and the importance of being an active member of her community.

James (Jim) W. Cabbell, Sr., of Amarillo, Texas passed peacefully in his home from this life and on to his eternal home Sunday, June 19, 2022. He was mentally sound and lived a long, full and happy life for 91+ years. He had no regrets and did not fear death. He faithfully cared for his wife, Jo Helen, who had Alzheimer’s for 17 years before she passed in December 2021.

Kent Grimmett Budge passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, at the age of 60 due to complications from a car crash. Although he died far from his home in Los Alamos, New Mexico, he was fortunate to be surrounded by family when he passed. We appreciate the wonderful care that he received from the highly skilled doctors and nurses at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.

Jerry was born May 12, 1942, in Langdon, North Dakota into a Mennonite wheat farming family.

At age 13, he and his family moved to Dallas, Oregon. He attended Oregon State University, earning a BA in Physics, and then attended Brown University for one year.

He joined the Episcopal Church and in 1964 participated in sit-in protests against segregation at lunch counters in St. Augustine, Florida.
