ANNICE CHORN June 20, 1933 – Oct. 21, 2022

Annice Chorn of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 21, 2022 at the age of 89. 

Annice was born June 20, 1933 in a farmhouse near Jean, Texas along with her triplet sisters Agnes and Janice. She and her husband Granville were married in 1955. Having met while freshmen at Texas Tech University, in her last days Annice was fond of saying that she and Granville had been “sweethearts for 71 years”. 

Annice lived with her family in Los Alamos for 27 years beginning in 1971 after which time they moved to Albuquerque in 1998.

THEODORE ANTHONY CORDOVA  Oct. 20, 2022

Theodore Anthony Cordova lived 88 wonderful years filled with family, friends and travel. 

He passed away Oct. 20, 2022 with his loving wife of 62 years at his side. Ted was originally from La Junta, Colorado. He joined the U.S. Army after graduating high school. Upon leaving the army, he attended barber school in Tucson, Arizona. After several years, he moved to Grants, New Mexico to work for the Anaconda Mining Company. BRUCE EMERSON BURKHEIMER Jan. 3, 1928 – Oct. 9, 2022

After meeting my mom, Mary, at the tender age of 15 my dad bought wedding and engagement rings and put them in a safety deposit box.

Five years later in 1947, after completing service in the Navy, Bruce and Mary were married. They moved to Los Alamos in 1953 and lived in the first trailer court in town in a 8 X 35 foot trailer, which they had pulled 1,000 miles with their old Studebaker from Burlington, Iowa!

Merrill Elery Kenyon, born December 8, 1928, in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Laura Lillian Wofford and Elery Arla Kenyon passed away peacefully at the age of 93 with his family by his side at his home in Los Alamos, New Mexico on October 20, 2022.

Judith Grubb Tesmer, daughter of Henry Marion Grubb and Dorothy Irene McCampbell, died Oct. 14, 2022, at Westminster Village, West Lafayette IN after a long struggle with dementia. Judy was born in Chicago, IL on March 29, 1940, and attended Purdue University where she earned a B.S. in Microbiology in 1962.

KIM A. RODGERS (FARRELL) Dec. 14, 1965 – Oct. 12, 2021

On the night of Oct. 11, 2021, Kim Ann Rodgers Farrell could not fall asleep. Neck and shoulder pain as well as indigestion were keeping her up. Shortly after midnight she exclaimed “oh no!” jolted back in bed then became unresponsive.
