I would like to echo the concern expressed in recent letters about dogs that are not under control by their owners, here, here and here. People with dogs need to understand that not everybody likes or wants to be approached by a dog, whether it is on a leash or not, or by a rabid dog barking menacingly from the other side of a patchy fence.
We should all remember that dogs are dogs, they are not people, and they will behave like dogs. My family and I were once on a walk around our neighborhood. Our 3-year-old son was sitting in his stroller, eating a slice of pizza. As
