ALBUQUERQUE — A Shiprock woman was sentenced to 33 months in prison for driving under the influence and causing a multi-passenger collision in 2023.
There is no parole in the federal system.
According to court documents, on April 10, 2023, Jazmyne Deschinny, 22, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, drove a vehicle with eight occupants, including five children, while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Read More

CLOVIS — On June 16, 2025, the New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was requested to investigate an officer-involved shooting involving the United States Marshals Service (USMS).
On Monday, June 16, 2025, members of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) were involved in an officer involved shooting incident while attempting to apprehend a wanted fugitive in Clovis, New Mexico.
The fugitive, identified as Eric Gallagher, 24, was wanted on an outstanding probation violation warrant. The USMS had identified 2213 Echols Avenue as a residence Gallagher frequented. Read More
