LAPD Advises Public Of Rise In Catalytic Converter Thefts

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) would like to inform the public about catalytic converter thefts. In recent weeks the department has responded to about a half-dozen reports of catalytic converters being stolen from vehicles. North Mesa and Barranca Mesa neighborhoods have been targeted recently.

It has been a while since the community has experienced catalytic converter thefts at this rate.

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) has announced the appointment of James Rodriguez as the new Deputy Chief of Police. Deputy Chief Rodriguez brings more than 20 years of dedicated service and experience to the position.

SANTA FE – On July 20, 2024, law enforcement officers from the County of Boulder, Colo., requested the assistance of the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) in apprehending a murder suspect.

SANTA FE—On July 16, 2024, at around 1:58 p.m., a New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officer made a traffic stop on Agua Fria and Alicia for a seatbelt violation, which resulted in a significant drug bust and multiple felony charges.
