Rep. Carl Trujillo is hosting an informational Town Hall meeting for water right owners at 6:30-8:30 p.m., Nov. 14 at the Pojoaque Middle School Auditorium.
 
As the Aamodt Water Settlement comes closer to being entered into final decree, water right owners will be receiving many different packets from the Federal Court.

AG Balderas Announces $32 Million Judgment Against FastBucks To Benefit New Mexico Consumers

SANTA FE  This morning, Attorney General Hector Balderas announced that a district court judge ruled New Mexicans should receive upwards of $32 million from FastBucks for their unfair and unconscionable business practices.
 
First Judicial District Judge Francis J. Mathew ruled that FastBucks should pay the sum of $32,255,054 in restitution to the consumer borrowers who were taken advantage of by FastBucks’ business practices.

State Releases Special Audit Of Town Of Estancia

SANTA FE  The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) has released a special audit of the Town of Estancia.
 
The audit assessed the Town’s financial controls during the period of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2015. The audit was requested by the Town’s management to examine concerns regarding financial practices, including a discrepancy in cash balances that arose in the last annual audit.

Although it would have been great to win, I don’t feel like I lost. As a citizen, I feel like I won by Pete (Sheehey), Chris (Chandler) and Antonio (Maggiore) getting elected. I know they are going to do a great job for Los Alamos County and they have my full support.
