Nearly 11,000 Local Voters Cast Ballots To Date

Los Alamos County Election Night Results

COUNTY News:

Members of the public are invited to gather at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building this evening to view election results.

Room 110 next to the Council Chambers, as well as the lobby, will be open.

Voters must be in line by 7 p.m. to vote at the Municipal Building, Golf Course Community Building or White Rock Library’s Multi-purpose Room. Residents entering the Municipal Building after 7 p.m. today to await results in Room 110  are advised that voters may still be in line to cast their vote and thus electioneering regulations apply within 100 feet of the building.

National Election Protection Volunteers Report In

ELECTION News:

Election Protection volunteers from around the country completed a 9:30 a.m. call to report in today and while there are isolated issues that are a concern on a number of fronts outlined below, the thousands of well-trained and experienced volunteers are working closely with Boards of Elections to resolve issues and the phrase used most often is “run of the mill with numerous events being handled and resolved.”

SANTA FE State Auditor Tim Keller released a special audit Nov. 4 of the Indigent Care Program at the University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH).
 
Advocates and policymakers have long sought more transparency about revenues and expenses related to healthcare for economically disadvantaged people. The special audit, conducted by an independent audit firm, examined UNMH’s indigent care costs and funding from fiscal year 2014 to 2016.
