There is a flaw in Charter Amendment Question number one. One of the several changes packaged into this question excepts people who serve as poll workers (who are paid a small fee by the county) from the rule prohibiting county employees from serving as voting members on boards, commissions and ad hoc committees. Udall, Heinrich Announce More Than $780,000 To Spur Entrepreneurship, Economic Development

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich have announced more than $780,000 in federal funding for two projects to spur economic development in New Mexico.

These funds, made available by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), will increase access to microloans for small businesses and support the renovation the iconic Santo Domingo Trading Post.

Soumyo Lahiri-Gupta, 18, traveled home to Los Alamos from Albuquerque to cast his first vote in a General Election Thursday.
