Los Alamos County Clerk Sharon Stover enters a sample ballot into one of 11 voting machines certified Wednesday afternoon at the County Clerk’s Office warehouse on the west side of the Municipal Building at 1000 Central Ave. The certification process included verifying that ballots were accepted whether fed into the machines in the front, back, top or bottom direction. The machines also were tested to ensure inappropriately filled out ballots were rejected, which was the case. Once certified, the 11 machines were sealed until the June 3 Primary Election.
