Tour de Los Alamos 2015 Results

SPORTS News:

The 43rd Annual Tour de Los Alamos Bicycle Race took place Sunday morning, July 12.

The race began on Trinity Drive in downtown Los Alamos with eight different start times, depending on the category of racer. A car led each race group in a neutral parade that traveled over the Diamond Drive bridge toward Los Alamos National Laboratory. Once through the Laboratory VAP, the race began at Casa Grande Drive, when the lead vehicle left the group of racers.

Watch out for bicyclists on local streets as the 43rd Annual Tour de Los Alamos Bicycle Race begins downtown with racers leaving in waves from 8:10 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. today.

The racers will do a loop(s) going up Jemez Road to the T-intersection with N.M. 4, take a left onto N.M. 4 past Bandelier, through White Rock, and back up Jemez.

The Los Alamos Triathlon is almost here.

The horn will blow at 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 and racers will begin their bike-swim-run journey to the finish line.

The Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation and  Open Space Division invites all people interested in participating to sign up for the race at the Walkup Aquatic Center or online at active.com.
