The annual Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament benefitting United Way of Northern New Mexico is Friday, July 31 at the Los Alamos County Golf Course.

The Chamber Golf Tournament is an awesome opportunity to wrap up your workweek by having fun while raising funds for a good cause. Players can also do a little business networking at the same time. The tournament is a four-person scramble and will feature prize holes, contest holes, and door prizes. Mulligans will be available for a small fee.

Los Alamos Disc Golf Hosts Discraft Ace Race Aug. 8

DISC GOLF News:

Los Alamos Disc Golf will host the only Discraft Ace Race in New Mexico at 10 a.m. Aug. 8 at the North Mesa Disc Golf Course. This event is beginner friendly.

Details are as follows:

  • Format: Two rounds of 18 holes, one throw per hole per player
  • Course layout: Holes are generally between 180 and 250 feet (55 to 75 meters).
  • Entry fee: $25

Registration Open For YMCA Youth Soccer Program

YMCA News:

Registration is open July 15 through Aug. 18 for the Family YMCA’s Developmental Youth Soccer Program for ages 4-5 and 6-7.

Practices and games are two times per week in Los Alamos and White Rock Aug. 24 through Oct 1.

Volunteer coaches and team parents needed. Teams are small (6-8 players) so all get plenty of skills practice and play time.
