Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church Observing International Day Of Prayer For Persecuted Church

Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church News:

Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church will observe the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. 

The theme is Hebrews 13:3: “Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body.” 

Every year Christians around the world set aside this day to pray for believers who are persecuted for their faith.

Los Alamos Jewish Center News:

The Los Alamos Jewish Center invites the community to attend a candlelight vigil at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at Ashley Pond. 

At this interfaith gathering, we will remember the victims of the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. We will show our unity and resolve to stand up against all forms of oppression.

All are welcome join us for a peaceful gathering to take a stand against hatred and violence.

In memory of the 11 people who were murdered, the Los Alamos Jewish Center is collecting donations to HIAS – the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. Read More

Special Needs Friendly Trunk Or Treat Event

The community is invited to a Special Needs Friendly/Teal Pumpkin Trunk or Treat event.

Come to La Vista Church at 15 Grand Canyon Dr. in White Rock 5-7 p.m., Oct. 31 for low sensory, non-scary, calm fun.

Non-food treats, and lollipops will be handed out to make this an allergy friendly event. Costumes are welcome but not required, and there is no upper age limit.
