Education for Ministry Course Starts Soon

A course of study for the ministry is beginning at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church called Education for Ministry (EFM.)
This is a discussion and study group, which meets for a three-hour class once a week for 36 weeks each year.
EFM offers a four year curriculum on a flexible schedule (usually no meetings around seasonal holidays and during the summer.) In the first year, the focus is on the Old Testament and its historical context. The second year reviews the New Testament. Blacklight Dodgeball for Teens at Family Conference

A Blacklight Dodgeball Tournament for teenagers, which includes a chance to win a free iPad Mini, is being held 6-10 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Los Alamos (FBCLA), 2200 Diamond Dr.

About 400 people from northern New Mexico attended a preparedness fair Saturday hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Twenty four booths with activities, demonstrations and information were set up at the White Rock chapel on Grand Canyon Drive. Topics included food and water storage, 72-hour kits, outdoor cooking, finance, ham radio, bread making, how to obtain scholarships, the county’s emergency broadcast system, as well as the emergency communication system for members of the church in northern New Mexico.
