Search and Rescue personnel this morning found the body of the firefighter who went missing Aug. 30 while scouting reports of smoke in the Jemez.
Officials said today that Token Adams, 41, apparently crashed his ATV atop a mesa in a remote area.

U.S. 84/285 Roadwork Continues North of Pojoaque
NMDOT News:
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) continues work on U.S. 84/285 just north of Pojoaque between mile markers 182.4 and 183.2.
The scope of the project includes new bridge construction with new on and off ramps, new roadway lighting, and pavement reconstruction for 0.72 miles within Santa Fe County.

Attorney John Day of Egolf + Ferlic + Day law firm in Santa Fe issued the following response moments ago on behalf of his clients Janet Newton and Maria Thibodeau to the statement issued today by Los Alamos County Clerk Sharon Stover regarding her position on the issuance of same sex marriage licenses.
Stover denied Newton and Thibodeau a marriage license late last month and the couple hired Day to represent them in court action against her.

Experienced Volunteer Ground Personnel Invited to Join Search for Firefighter in Jemez

NMSP News:
New Mexico State Police is heading up a Search and Rescue (SAR) effort in the Santa Fe Nat’l Forest near Jemez Springs to locate a firefighter, Token Adams, who went missing Friday while conducting size up for a new start in the forest.
Volunteer SAR is proceeding, and experienced volunteer ground personnel are invited to join in this effort.
Directions to the ICP are:
