Public Encouraged To Bring Drones To Compete During Los Alamos ScienceFest Discovery Day July 8 At Ashley Pond

ScienceFest  News:

The public is encouraged to bring their drones out to compete at Ashley Pond 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 during ScienceFest Discovery Day.

Participants will have an opportunity to fly in a competitive drone course and chance to win up to $100 in Chamber of Commerce Checks, good at dozens of businesses and restaurants in Los Alamos and White Rock.

Two courses will be available to the public, a Beginner and an Advanced level, and three prizes awarded for each category.

Asian Manufacturer Selects New Mexico For Expansion

SANTA TERESA — The New Mexico Economic Development (EDD) announced Monday that a major Asian auto-parts supplier will be constructing a factory in New Mexico’s Santa Teresa Borderplex and hiring 350 employees.  

The Taiwan-based Hota Industrial Manufacturing, a manufacturer of automotive gears for North American and European clients including Tesla, has signed an agreement for a 30-acre parcel in the Westpark Industrial Park in Santa Teresa, N.M. with construction expected to begin in 2024. Heinrich On $675 Million In Infrastructure Law Funding To Expand High-Speed Internet Access In New Mexico

U.S. SENATE News:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) announced $675,372,311 in funding Monday to expand high-speed internet access in New Mexico.
