Los Alamos Creative District News:
Los Alamos MainStreet and the Creative District are hosting the Holiday Lights Parade 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday along Central Avenue, from the roundabout to Oppenheimer Drive.
The Los Alamos County Traffic & Streets Division will close this section of the road to all vehicles beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Parade organizers ask the public to avoid parking along Central Avenue during this time.

A rock slide this morning has closed N.M. 4 at MM 57 (between White Rock and Bandelier) indefinitely, according to the Los Alamos Police Department. An update will be given once the road is reopened. Courtesy/LAPD

Los Alamos police and firefighters respond to the scene of a single car accident that occurred over the lunch hour today in front of Los Alamos High School. Police Cmdr. Preston Ballew told the Los Alamos Daily Post that there were no injuries reported and the driver, a male youth, was cited for making an improper turn resulting in an accident in which he damaged a light pole and his car.
