New Paseo Del Norte/I-25 Interchange Opens Tonight

STATE News:

ALBUQUERQUE — At 8:30 p.m. today, Gov. Susana Martinez, alongside local and federal officials, will open the brand new Paseo Del Norte/Interstate 25 interchange.

Martinez’s administration worked with the Legislature to secure $30 million for the project, which was then combined with additional funding from the City of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, and the federal government. This critical transportation infrastructure project was completed on budget and on time.

Our guide at Combarelles, the day after we visited L’Abri du Cap Blanc, was the same man from Cap Blanc! His English had improved slightly with all that practice with us the day before. He did a decent job explaining the inscribed drawings in the narrow snake-like cave.

The Town of Taos has joined the North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) as a full member to its Board of Directors.

Named to represent the Town on the NCRTD Board is Town of Taos Mayor Daniel Barrone. As a commissioner representing Taos County, Barrone has served as Board Chair since 2012. His seat on the County Commission will expire in January.

County Seeks Additional Public Feedback Before Dec. 4 Transportation Board Meeting

The last time a Transit Study was conducted was just prior to Atomic City Transit starting operations, approximately seven years ago.

The County contracted with LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. (LSC), to develop a Comprehensive Transit Study / Updated Five-Year Transit Plan (Transit Plan). Blue Buses Not In Service Thanksgiving Or Day After

NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD “Blue Buses” will not be in service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27 as well as Friday, Nov. 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Regularly scheduled bus service throughout north central New Mexico including Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos Counties will resume Monday, Dec. 1.
