RTD’s Blue Buses Not in Service Memorial Day

NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD “Blue Buses” will not be in service Monday, May 26, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Regularly scheduled bus service throughout north central New Mexico including Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos Counties will resume Tuesday, May 27.

RTD Adds Buses to Accommodate Chimayo Pilgrams on Good Friday, April 18

NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District is adding additional buses along its Española to Chimayo route to accommodate people making the annual pilgrimage to El Santuario de Chimayo on Good Friday, April 18.

Two ADA accessible buses will run on a continuous loop 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., throughout the day (the first bus begins at 8 a.m. and the second at 8:30 a.m.) departing from the RTD stop on the north side of the Big Rock Phillips 66 Station in front of the Santa Claran Hotel.

Los Alamos Commercial Airline Service Celebrates First Year Anniversary Today

Airport Manager Peter Soderquist takes a moment this morning to celebrate the one year ‘birthday’ of commercial airline service between Los Alamos and Albuquerque with a special cake dropped off by County staff for Soderquist and customers to enjoy. One afternoon I walked down the andador in San Cristóbal de las Casas. It is a street that has been closed off to traffic and repaved with nice flagstones for pedestrians. It’s always full of tourists, buskers and indigenous women selling crafts.

Members and friends of the End of the Trail Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Association took the two hour train ride from Lamy to Las Vegas, N.M. and enjoyed the joys of train travel as they lunched in the dining car, took in views from the observation car and got to meet travelers on their way to Chicago.

The group was also raising awareness of historic sites along Apache Canyon and Glorieta Mesa.
